On this 1.5 – 2 hour Dolphin Watching Tour, you’ll get to see the Common and Bottlenose Dolphins that frequent the Portuguese coastline in all its glory. No only will you get to enjoy one of the most stunning locations in the form of the famous grottos of Ponta da Piedade but you’ll also get to see seabirds and sea turtles in and amongst our fabulous friends.
Along with the bottlenose dolphin, the common dolphin is one of the most familiar species of cetacean. Along the Portuguese coast, the common dolphin occurs in high numbers and is most often spotted along the Portuguese coastline. Common dolphin’s are described as remarkably gregarious, and are one of the fastest and highest jumping cetaceans. The common dolphin can grow to 2.55 meters and weigh as much as 200 lbs.

- Boat tours can sometimes be affected and cancelled due to weather conditions

Where do we meet?
Where you meet us depends on the activity:
- Boat tours (catamaran, dolphin watching, fishing): depart from Marina de Lagos
- Kayak tours of Ponta da Piedade: meet at Praia da Batata
- Surf lessons & surf guiding: meet at the beach, usually Meia Praia or Porto de Mós
- E-bike, e-dirtbike & walking tours: start at our shop, Rua Candido dos Reis 112, Lagos Old Town
- Adventure activities further afield (coasteering, mountain biking, west coast hikes): meet at the trailhead
Once you book, we email the exact meeting point, time, gear list, and the guide's phone number for the day. If you're ever unsure, head to our shop in the Old Town and we'll point you in the right direction.
