Surf Lessons are available all year round except on 25th of December and 1rst of January.

Is it 1-to-1 or can two people share?
Both. A 1-to-1 private lesson is €170 for a single surfer, a 1-to-2 private lesson (two surfers sharing the instructor) is €300. Both are still considered private because the instructor attention is not split with strangers.
When should I choose private over group?
Choose private if you want the fastest learning curve, are working on a specific technique (paddling, duck dives, turns, green-wave timing), have limited days and want to maximise water time, or simply prefer 1-to-1 attention. Improvers in particular often progress in 2 private lessons what would take 4 group sessions.
How long is a private surf lesson?
About 2 hours total, with 1.5 to 2 hours of water time. Because the instructor focuses only on you, water time is more efficient than in a group lesson of the same length.
What does a private surf lesson cost?
€170 for 1 person, €300 for 2 people sharing. Multi-day packages: 5 days for 1 person is €800, 5 days for 2 people is €1500. All include surfboard, wetsuit, rash vest, beach transport, and the partner-school instructor.
Can I book multi-day private lessons with the same instructor?
Yes. Multi-day private bookings stick with the same instructor where possible, which means they remember what you worked on yesterday and can build on it. Tell us at booking that you would like instructor continuity.
Can I focus on a specific skill?
Yes. Tell the instructor at the start what you want to work on, green-wave riding, pop-up timing, paddling efficiency, duck-diving, bottom turns, or reading a peak. Private lessons are completely flexible.

Please note: next-day bookings must be made before 8:00 PM. Bookings made after 8:00 PM can only be scheduled for the day after tomorrow.
When private surf lessons pay off
Private lessons are about progression speed, not exclusivity. The right surfer can compress a week of group lessons into two private sessions.
Fastest first-day learning curve
If you have never surfed and have only 1 to 2 days in Lagos, a private lesson maximises water time. Most first-timers stand up in the whitewater within the first hour of 1-to-1 coaching.
Targeted technique work for improvers
Already paddling out and catching waves? Tell the instructor exactly what you want to fix, pop-up timing, bottom turns, duck-diving, reading a peak. Private is the format for that.
Multi-day continuity
Multi-day private bookings stick with the same instructor where possible, so each session builds on the last. Real coaching, not introductions.
Couples and friends sharing
1-to-2 privates (€300) split the instructor between two surfers of similar level, most of the upside of private with shared cost.
Where do we meet?
Where you meet us depends on the activity:
- Boat tours (catamaran, dolphin watching, fishing): depart from Marina de Lagos
- Kayak tours of Ponta da Piedade: meet at Praia da Batata
- Surf lessons & surf guiding: meet at the beach, usually Meia Praia or Porto de Mós
- E-bike, e-dirtbike & walking tours: start at our shop, Rua Candido dos Reis 112, Lagos Old Town
- Adventure activities further afield (coasteering, mountain biking, west coast hikes): meet at the trailhead
